On a personal note... I am proud to be a Haligonian, born and raised. My father was navy and stationed in Halifax where I grew up. In 1967, I moved to Montreal where I met my husband and married in 1969.  My husband also joined the miltary and we moved to Summerside PEI where our 3 sons were born. Ottawa became home in 1983 with a military posting and the "Thompsons" have happily settled here ever since. Now Ottawa is "home" and I enjoy the many benefits this great city has to offer but always make that trip east every year.
